Interface Notes

The primary task, and thus the focus, of this screen is to find a contact. Links are provided to related tasks, such as creating a new contact. Breadcrumbs provide links to parent tasks or areas. When normalizing the software, it becomes increasingly important to clearly indicate where the user sits in the software's site map. Notice we also opt for words over icons where reasonable. This is another form of normalization, not requiring a secondary task (discovering what the icon means) to understand the interface.
